Building Department
Function
The Building Department is comprised of two part-time Building Inspectors/Code-Enforcement Officers, and the Fire Code Enforcement Officer. It is responsible for:
- Issuing permits for new construction, repairs, fences, signs and pools.
- Ensuring that all Village buildings meet the requirements for New York State Fire Prevention and Building Code.
- Performing fire safety inspections.
- Issuing chicken permits.
